Tasting notes & pairing
Primus Malbec is the highest expression of Malbec from Salentein in the Uco Valley. Deep and intense violet-red in color with purple reflections, the nose is complex and seductive: ripe black fruits (blackberries, blueberries, cassis and plums), subtle floral notes (violets, lavender) and spicy touches (vanilla, cloves, black pepper and cocoa) from its prolonged aging in French oak barrels. The palate is broad and enveloping, with sweet and polished tannins, excellent structure, vibrant acidity that gives it freshness and length, and a persistent finish with mineral and toasted nuances. Made with minimal intervention (without filtering or clarifying), it may show natural sediment. An elegant, concentrated Malbec with great aging potential (up to 10-15 years in good vintages).
