The origin of the Bemberg Family dates back to the second half of the 16th century and has its roots in a small German town called Langenberg. In that town, Conrad zum Bimberg—the first recorded family member—owned a large property where he cultivated his first vineyards, a passionate activity that remained in his blood for centuries. Although family archives assume the beginning of this Family with the birth of Conrad zum Bimberg, many place the true beginning of the lineage in the first half of the 19th century and highlight the figure of Otto Peter Bemberg as its founder. In 1850 Otto emigrated from the Old World and sailed to South America, finally settling in Argentina. It was he who laid the foundations of the Family in our country, remaining faithful to its European origins.
