Susana Balbo
About Susana Balbo
Susana Balbois a family winery, specialized in the production of high-end wines, located in Mendoza, Argentina, at the foot of the Andes mountain range. It was founded in 1999 by Susana Balbo, Argentina's first female winemaker. Creating is the courage to be exposed. An entrepreneurial, revolutionary and pioneering spirit has better results when it is driven by courage and tenacity. This can be seen in the history of the winery. After several failed attempts and an increasingly fragile national context, Susana managed to realize a lifelong dream: to have her own winery and create wines with her own seal. After more than 10 years of constant growth in international markets, another of Susana's dreams came true: her children, José Lovaglio and Ana Lovaglio, decided to continue the family tradition and join the team. The new generation of the family, together with a team of 100 people, continues to work daily to take care of every detail to deliver wines of the best quality, betting on the growth of the wine industry through exploration, innovation and sustainability. In short, our large family shares the same spirit and the same conviction: a great passion for making high-quality wines. Our winemaking team focuses on combining a deep knowledge of Argentina's best soils, a curiosity and passion for the art, the science behind winemaking skills and, finally, a commitment to sustainable practices. Under this way of making wines, we created four lines of wine: Nos, Susana Balbo Signature, Crios and BenMarco. The symbol of our brand is born from a unique and identifiable element: a heart. The heart is a symbol of courage, passion and togetherness. Our heart represents these three foundational elements graphically through shapes that, when united, result in a final code in which teamwork synthesizes the interaction of all our values.
