Finca La Anita
About Finca La Anita
Founded in 1992, Finca La Anitais a pioneer in Argentina's modern wine industry focused exclusively on the production of high-end wines. Manuel Mas, a chemical engineer by profession and a successful businessman, undertook a then unprecedented project in Mendoza: building a small winery for the production of high-end wines, in a place that had lost its ancient wine culture. Along with the desire to once again have something that connected him with Mendoza, where he was born, and thanks to an economic situation that allowed it, he bought a “divine farm in front of the mountain range” in Alto Agrelo, in 1992. Agrelo at that time was abandoned; There were no wineries and large families had uprooted the vines in the 1970s and 1980s, when the industry had focused on producing bulk wines. In 2016, Swiss winemaker Bernard Fontannaz of the Les Celliers de Vetroz family in Switzerland purchased Finca La Anita and Manuel Mas is the Brand Ambassador.
