The caiquén, wild goose of Patagonia, symbolizes the journey that challenges borders and the established while crossing the imposing mountain range of the Andes, between Argentina and Chile. On this same path of exploration and overcoming, Aurelio Montes arrived in Argentine lands in 2000. With each trip, he discovered the generosity of his vineyards and the incandescent passion of his people. By 2001, certainty was imposed: Mendoza was the perfect setting to give life to Kaiken. The winery was built in 1920 by Italo Calise. In those early years, in addition to wine, olive oil, distilled and tartaric acid occurred. Today, Labodega responds to the highest quality standards required by contemporary oenology and has the capacity to give life to 7 million liters distributed in pools of between 12,000 and 30,000 liters for fermentation, ideal for small items of very high quality, pool of 100,000 liters for guardianship and concrete tanks. Over the years, Kaiken has consolidated his reputation as a oenological reference, combining tradition, innovation and passion.
