Description
The grapes for these varietal wines come from selected vineyards, according to the characteristics and potential of the ideal terroir for each variety. The line LagardeIt is made up of six varietals and a rosé wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Syrah, Merlot, Viognier, Chardonnay and a rosé, made with Malbec and Pinot Noir. In 2020, a blend of inks was incorporated for the first time. Thanks to their aging for 8 to 12 months in oak barrels, the reds achieve a delicate balance between fruit and wood. Tasting notes & pairing
Intense, bright violet red color. Expressive aromas of ripe red fruits (cherry, strawberry, plum), jams, floral touches (violet), and soft notes of vanilla, chocolate and a slight smokiness or spice from the barrel. In the mouth it is balanced, with a good medium body, ripe and soft (velvety) tannins, juicy and persistent. Very drinkable, with juicy fruit and a freshness that makes it versatile. Suggested pairing (ideal according to the winery and tastings): Grilled or roasted meats (Argentine roast, chorizos, vacuum, steak). Pastas with red sauces (bolognese, ragù, tomato with meat). Meat empanadas, pizzas with strong ingredients, or semi-hard cheeses. It also goes great with burgers, grilled pork or dishes with some mild spices. It is a classic companion of the Argentine table.
